Avignon, Arles, et Nice / Avignon, Arles, and Nice

Rien. Du. Tout. Alors souhaitez-moi de la bonne chance !
Merci à tous et à toutes,
Joshua Norman.
Well, spring break is over, after two weeks of sun (and yes, a little bit of rain) in Paris and in the south of France.  It was awesome, both weeks.
In Paris I saw some expositions, drank some coffee, and spent time with friends.  The first week, unfortunately it went by too fast, and the second in the same way.
We left Paris Monday the 18th around 8:00AM for Avignon.  The first day was great, very good weather—but I had the first migraine of my life Tuesday and I slept for 20 hours in the hotel.  Well, “that’s life”, right?
After Avignon we saw Arles, a relatively small city (15 minutes for crossing the whole city on the banks of the Rhône).  Van Gogh painted a lot of paintings there and of course we found the Yellow Café.  The food was excellent; I ate a hot chèvre salad (excellent) and an enormous calzone for the two dinners in Arles.
Then we took a train for 2 or 3 hours to go to Nice (where it was windy and it rained the second day).  But no matter, we had fun all the same.  Sunday (Easter) we went to the Flower and Fruit market and we had a little picnic on the shore of the Mediterranean.  Then, it was already 8:00PM and time for going back to Paris.   I was really happy to see Paris again, specifically after the train ride (11 hours, in a seat, with the lights on!), where I slept for 5 hours for a “little” nap.
Well today’s the 28th of April, which means that there’s only 5 weeks left in Paris, one month (4 weeks exactly) in Banyuls-sur-Mer, 2 and a half weeks in Munich (in my sister’s new apartment  ! congratulations!) and 5 hours in Paris for going back to the States.  That makes 11.5 weeks and 5 hours left in Europe before going back home.  Nothing. At. All. Wish me luck!
Thanks to everyone,
Joshua Norman.
