Le printemps (en fait, le début du printemps)

Aujourd’hui c’est le premier jour du printemps à Paris.  Déjà il y a des feuilles, des petites fleures, de l’herbe partout, et des gens aux parcs.  C’est vraiment beau, Paris au printemps.  Et c’est bien !  J’étais ici depuis 2 mois et demi sous un ciel gris et oppressif ! 

Je viens de finir mon deuxième composition d’Etude d’un Ensemble Littéraire—j’apprends beaucoup quand j’écris en français, grâce à la formation des idées et tout ça. 

Hier, je suis allé au marché des puces.  Ha-ha !  C’était complètement incroyable.  Les gens là-bas…oh la !  Pour ceux qui ne le connaissent pas du tout, c’est beaucoup de petites tentes avec des trucs (volés probablement) qui ne sont pas du tout chers, avec des gens qui vous demandent toujours « sac ? sac ? ceinture ? lunettes ? Louis Vuitton ? » C’est complètement marrant ! 

L’école va très bien, j’adore mes cours, et en ce moment j’avais lu 6 sur 7 livres, et je suis au milieu du septième.  (Si vous n’avez pas lu En attendant Godot, je vous le recommande bien !)

Springtime (well, the beginning)

Today is the first day of spring in Paris.  Already there are leaves, flowers, grass everywhere, and people in parks.  It’s truly beautiful, Paris in the spring.  And it had better be!  I’ve been here for 2 and a half months under a gray oppressive sky!

I just did my second composition for a “Study of Literature”—I learn a lot when I write in French, thanks to making ideas and all of that.

Yesterday, I went to the flea markets.  Ha-ha! It was completely unbelievable.  The people over there…oh my gosh!  For those that don’t know it, it’s a lot of little tents with stuff (stolen probably) which are not at all expensive, with people who are always asking “bag? Bag? Belt? Glasses? Louis Vuitton?” It’s completely funny!

School’s going great, I love my courses, and right now I’ve ready 6 out of 7 books, and I’m in the middle of the 7^th.  (If you haven’t read “Waiting for Godot”, I really recommend it!)
